Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Food Festivals in Italy ("we", "us", "the site") collects when you visit, why, and what choices you have. We built this site to be genuinely useful without collecting more than we need.

Who runs this site

Food Festivals in Italy is operated by Michele Pesce (P.IVA IT08044231218, C.F. PSCMHL76L09F839G), Via Cupa San Pietro 73, 80147 Napoli (NA), Italy. For any privacy question, contact info@foodfestivalsinitaly.com or +39 334 212 7070.

What we collect

Analytics (only if you accept cookies). If you accept our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, which festivals people look at, what people search for, and general device/location information derived from your IP address. Google Analytics does not collect your name or email. This data is processed by Google LLC; see Google's Privacy Policy for how Google itself handles it.

Social media embeds (only if you accept cookies). Some festival pages can show a Facebook Page embed. This loads Facebook's own SDK, which is operated by Meta Platforms and may set its own cookies. It only loads if you accept our cookie banner.

The festival submission form. If you use the "Submit a Festival" form, the information you enter (festival details and, optionally, your email) is sent directly to our email inbox via your own email client — it is not stored on any server or database we control. We only use it to review and potentially add the festival to the guide, and to reply if we have questions.

We do not use accounts, logins, or payment systems, so we do not collect passwords or payment information of any kind.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export any personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time. Since we don't run accounts or a backend database, in practice this mainly concerns analytics data — you can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing your cookie choice in your browser and declining the banner on your next visit, or by using your browser/device's "opt out of Google Analytics" settings. To exercise any of these rights, contact info@foodfestivalsinitaly.com.

Data retention

Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings on our Analytics property (by default, Google retains user-level data for 14 months). Submission form emails are retained in our own inbox for as long as reasonably needed to review and respond to them.

International visitors

This site is aimed at an international audience. If you access it from outside the country where our analytics and hosting providers operate, your information may be processed in a different country than your own, including the United States (Google's infrastructure). Google is certified under applicable data transfer frameworks where relevant.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
