54th edition of a medieval archery tournament reviving a real 1572 contest documented by a friar, Tommaso da Fivizzano, between archers of the town's urban core ('Terra') and its surrounding villages ('Corte'). Saved from obscurity and relaunched in 1971, it now pits 25 archers — five from each of the five historic quarters, Montechiaro, Fittadisio, Terra, Verrucola, and Guardia — in Piazza Medicea, preceded by flag-throwing, medieval parades, artisan workshops, and Lunigiana food stands, tied to the feast of the town's patron, Madonna dell'Adorazione.
