Sagra del Formaggio Fritto

26th edition of a festival founded in 1999 by local cheese producers and merchants who asked the Pro Loco to celebrate the area's ancient sheep-farming tradition. Local sheep's-milk cheese, aged around 20 days, is sliced, battered to a traditional recipe, and fried in sunflower oil until golden outside and soft within — a dish once eaten by the region's shepherds — alongside arrosticini, sausage, and pancetta. A past edition closed with a concert by the legendary Italian rock band New Trolls.
